Web - B2C - ROCKY Shoes and Boots, Inc.

I worked as the Webmaster for ROCKY® Shoes and Boots, Inc. (NASDAQ: RCKY) from January of 2002 through the end of July of 2004 and had sole control over the entire Web site. During my time at ROCKY there has was steady increase in the traffic to the site and handled all of the Web analytics and expanded the ROCKY site accordingly. During my time managing RockyBoots.com it consisted of over 300 HTML pages using CSS and some JavaScript when needed. All work on the site has been completed with Macromedia Dreamweaver MX.

The ROCKY (www.RockyBoots.com) Web site's traffic paralleled ROCKY's financial sales and was busiest during the fall and winter months. Founded in 1932, ROCKY Shoes and Boots, Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of quality outdoor, casual and occupational footwear as well outdoor and work apparel.

Web - B2C - Remedy Shoes

Remedy Shoes was a new division of ROCKY during my time there and is geared towards healthcare and food service professionals. Originally designed as a brochure site, RemedyShoes.com began directing interested users to a third-party shopping cart site for online purchases and credit card authorization. I oversaw all transactions and handled all site and product updates while also working with a vendor to optimize the keyword results in all major search engines to drive more business to the site.

Print - Remedy Postcard

This 3"x5" postcard was one of the many marketing projects that I was involved with during my time at ROCKY as we worked to promote a new line of shoes for healthcare professionals called Remedy. I handled all layout and design work on this card in early 2004 as I combined my own eye for layout and design with advice from the rest of our marketing team.

Print - ROCKY WarmGear boots instruction manual & hang tag

This booklet/hangtag was a project in which I gathered all of the information involved from the ROCKY product development department and "consumerized" this information and created a instruction booklet for the new Charger™ WarmGear™ books by ROCKY. I handled all layout and design work on this card in early 2004 as I combined my own eye for layout and design with advice from the rest of our marketing team.

Web - Interior Concepts

Interior Concepts was one of the four Ohio University MIS class projects that I helped redesign and develop for AREI. It was designed by one of the graphic designers at AREI and I took her Photoshop file, sliced it up, and created the template file. Then I plugged all of the information from the client into the site and also updated a very small portion of the ASP coding.

Web - The Cabin at Chimney Lake

The Cabin at Chimney Lake was one of the four Ohio University MIS class projects that I helped redesign and develop for AREI. The design concept was all created by one of the graphic designers at AREI and I was given the Photoshop file and sliced it up, created the templates, and put the site together. I also was in contact with the company and they were thrilled with the final product which is located at www.bigchimney.com.

CDROM - The Governor's Regional Economic Development Office had AREI prepare a CDROM in Sept./Oct. 2001 to emphasize business opportunities in Appalachia Ohio in Region 7. I helped put together the pages and add and edit the content to the HTML-based CDROM. I also helped proofread the final product before it was burnt to CD and sent to the client.

Web - The Hocking River Valley Artisan Craft Collaborative was another one of the four Ohio University MIS class projects that I helped redesign and develop for AREI. Web - This Web site was created to sell t-shirts and donate the proceeds to various charities helping the families of the victims of September 11th, 2001. The site was designed by one of the graphic designers at AREI, and I took the Photoshop file, organized the navigation and sliced up the file and created a template file. From there I took the given information and plugged it into the new pages of the site.

Web - This is the Web site I have probably done the least work on of all that I have listed on this page. The header was designed by one of the graphic designers at AREI, and I plugged the header into each page and fixed some of the design issues on the pages.
